Mount Satima Hike – The Majestic Dragon’s Teeth Adventure

Standing at an impressive 4,001 meters (13,126 feet) above sea level, Mount Satima offers panoramic views, rare Afro-alpine vegetation, and the dramatic Dragon’s Teeth rock formations that make this trek a truly unique adventure.

Hike Itinerary
Departure:
- Time: 3:30 AM
- Meeting Point: Nairobi CBD
- Route: Via Thika Road through Nyeri, heading towards Rhino Gate (Aberdare National Park entrance)
Arrival at Rhino Gate: ~7:30 AM
Start of Hike: ~8:00 AM
Hiking Distance: Approx. 14–16 km round trip
Estimated Hiking Time: 6–7 hours (moderate pace with breaks)

How to Prepare for the Hike
Engage in Active Cardio
