Mt Kinangop
Mount Kinangop, standing at 3,906m (12,815 ft.), is a 3-hour drive from Nairobi to Mutarakwa Forest Station, where the hike begins. It is the second-highest peak in the Nyandarua Ranges and is renowned as a challenging trail. The Mutarakwa Route takes you through a forest of cypress and pine trees, with increasing steepness and wetness as you approach the rocky summit in the moorland.
